Ceres, Stanislaus County
Ceres lies about four miles south of downtown Modesto, and the two cities have grown together along Highway 99. Its population has roughly doubled since 1990 as new neighborhoods spread east toward Hughson. River Bluff Regional Park, on the north side, follows a bend of the Tuolumne River with ball fields above and a restored floodplain below.
